Poker Gauge Design & Machining

Summary

FlowTech was commissioned to manufacture a custom poker gauge set, designed specifically to measure wear on the A-bracket bearing of a ship’s propulsion shaft—a critical component in maintaining shaft alignment and operational efficiency. The client required two identical gauges, each with a precision tolerance of ±0.05 mm.

We sourced all raw materials and machined every component in-house, ensuring full control over quality and accuracy. Using our advanced laser etching equipment, we engraved precise vernier scale markings directly onto each gauge. Final calibration was performed by an accredited external facility, with both gauges successfully meeting the required accuracy specifications of ±0.05 mm.
